Mr. Temitope Ogunsemo is the CEO of Krystal Digital Solutions. A company focused on Website and application development, school management systems and also has an award winning IT academy.

Forbes Magazine recently featured him as ‘the 33 year-old Nigerian Entrepreneur who built a 3 Million Dollar EdTech company’.
He founded Krystal Digital Solutions in 2010, which has now become one of the leading IT companies in Nigeria. He recently partnered with Microsoft to teach Nigerian Students Microsoft professional courses. At 33 years, he is truly greatness redefined!

DA: What inspired you to start up your own company?
Mr. Temitope: The idea that would spawn Krystal Digital was initiated when I attempted to secure my academic transcript. It was a difficult and frustrating experience. It was then I saw the potential to develop a School Information Management System that would not only improve the storage/preservation and retrieval of academic records but would also position these schools to harness the benefits of digitization.

DA: How were you able to raise funds for your business and how much did you start up with?
Mr. Temitope: Krystal Digital Limited started as an organic company with zero funds and zero account in the process, we grew to where we are today. Our intellectual capital is critical to provide innovative solutions.

DA: How did you get investors to invest in your company?
Mr. Temitope: Krystal digital never got any investors and we never borrowed money. The company grew from scratch and we built a sustainable system around it which indeed has stood the test of time.

DA:What is your advice to people who want to start up their own ICT companies but have little or no funds?
Mr. Temitope: Advice to anyone who wants to venture into the ICT Company is to pursue an aspect of ICT that they are passionate about and it also has to be a service or product you believe can enhance people’s lives. Startup organically that is you should grow the company within your financial means. It’s also important that you build a workable/sustainable system that can run itself on the long run.

DA: As a young Forbes-listed entrepreneur, what are your principles for financial success in this 21st century?
Mr. Temitope: What you should understand is that financial success does not happen over-night. You have to be able to put in the hard work with a combination of perseverance. Meticulousness is also required when it comes to how you can invest money in certain project that may look appetizing.
